Museums. Open minded or Ignorant?

As far as museums come along, most workers, mainly the curators, tend to put their opinions on the work that their particular artwork that they show off. Whether there is truly a way of saying an individual piece, is honestly "good" or "bad." So I don't think that their line of work is fair or right of them to do. Ok, I know that it's their job to tell people that want tours or such, about the art. But who gives them the right to put into people's minds that some work is good and others aren't?

  1. I agree that no one really knows what kind of art is good or bad. Most of the time the majority within decides that, but they're not always right. So many artists were appreciated only after they died. But I disagree with the point of a museum. Like I believe the role of museum is to show the world what happened in the past, with artifacts or paintings that give us a better understanding of what happened. I guess it would be different for exibits that were specifically designed to show off modern art. Modern art is always changing, and we all have different opinions as to what is real art and what isn't.
