If that is what good art is. What exactly is "bad" art?

Bad art. Is there such a thing? Think back to the days of cavemen. Was there such thing as bad artwork? How about the Medieval Times or the Romance Era? Was there?
Thinking back into man kinds histroy. I can't exactly place the thought of how to describe "bad" art. Cause there never was nor is there such a kind. "Bad" art would to me, I guess, be something that an indivdual can't relate to. Something in which one's self just did. No reason or feeling in it. It's just, in a sense, kind of there. Dead space.
But to the everyday person, I guess "bad" artwork doesn't truly exist. That's simply how I think of things.

The idea behind good art is what exactly?

Good art. Is there truly such thing? So many styles and so many fashions and procedures. What exactly makes a person say it's good? Every indivdual goes through different life experiences. Thus changing they may look or act towards different things. That includes specific art. So in order for a particular person to think or believe that something is "good" They must have something either to compare it to, or something in which it makes them think about. Wheather that one thought is a good or bad one, is fully depending upon that particular person themselves.

So in general, I say that "Good Art" isn't so much as "good" as it is unique. Cause art lays in the eye and minds of its beholders. Nothing more or less to it really. It's not based off of skill or that of talent. But that of spirit and personality and experience.

Cookies and Milk make a freshman very happy =]

Dear readers,

It's come to my attention that high school life, is full of good times & bad. Major dissapointments with a side of joy. Either way, it could be the best & worst years of any persons life. And theres one almost impossible thing that not many people can seem to avoid. And that, my friends, is drama.

Either in the home,

Or in school.

And even, most often enough, within their group of friends.

But, even with the best of friends, there comes those times when they can't even truly help you. Or at least, not in the most convential of ways...

Within this past week alone. My one friend has gone through a lot of changes in his life. Not all, actually mostly, for the worst.

Mostly relating to people he has cared about for a long time over the past couple of years, suddenly letting a girl get to them, and end up stabbing him in the back.

So me & my friend Darien have come up with the idea.

Why not give him a cookie & some milk in the morning before school starts?

So we have been doing so for the past week or so now. And to our surprise, the idea seems to have a been good luck charm of some sort. With giving our freshman friend a few cookies and small cup of milk, he  goes to his class with a smile. And a good, happy-go-lucky attitude. Thus, the kids in his classes talk to him more now. And he has made new, better group of friends. :)

A lot of his depressing issues have no since diminished and or have completly gone away. With cookies & milk and a few good compliments.

Who knew?

My first post on here(: Lets talk bout art. Shall we?

Ok =] I'm new to the site and I'd like to welcome everyone of you who are currently viewing my page.

This site is purely (at least for now) to talk about my art and discuss why I do what I do.

My work currently, is a reflection of some things going on in my life currently. As I'm pretty sure mostly everyone elses is as well. Well, what makes my work stand out, at least in my eyes, is the style.

Each piece I do, to me, reminds me of a person. Either one I currently know or even some from the past.

I like to think of each piece as something personal. Honestly. I may not be the most creative person in the art world, but I am different. At least in my own opinion.

The project Mrs.Vasa (My photo II teacher) has us doing right now is a Pinhole Camera. I've made mine from my old Kodak Camera box. I'd like to experiment a bit and see if I can get any maybe, unpropotional pictures out of it in the end. So they looked like they're wrong, but aren't.

Reason being, is that, I've come to the conclusion, that everything isn't always as it seems. And its always possible to change how something looks to someone else, or even yourself. Just gotta work at it a bit and maybe see it from a different point of view if possible.

Don't be so closed minded and only see things as they look. Look beyond them. And this goes for indivdual people too.

Like the old saying goes: "Don't judge a book by it's cover." I hope that message aplys to the pictures I am curretnly taking.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this.

Sincerly,
Donna
